DETECTIVE

The Rutland police department has one full-time detective that is tasked with following up on all investigatory work that extends beyond the patrol officer. Detective Jacob Deschamps is currently assigned to the role of detective. On any given day, the detective can be found working on breaking & entering cases, fraud cases, sex offenses, drug investigations, and a wide variety of other things. 

The Detective is also in charge of sex offender registrations.
