The Rutland Police Department has a kiosk in the lobby where you can dispose of any unwanted or expired prescription or over-the-counter medications. The kiosk was received through and is maintained with grant funding from www.med-project.org

Rutland  Police and Fire will take unwanted sharps/needles and will make sure they are disposed of correctly. The sharps disposal kiosk was purchased through donations and is sponsored in part by the Rutland Health Mart Pharmacy.

Drug Take Back Day

Every year, on the last Saturday of April, Rutland PD participates in the National Drug Take Back Day. Anyone can come to the station during the day and drop off their unwanted/expired medications.
