Motor Unit

The Rutland Police Department is currently equipped with one 2022 Harley Davidson Electra Glide police motorcycle. The unit started in 2019 when the department leased its first bike with funding donated by the Devereux Foundation. 

In addition to patrol duties, motor officers focus on traffic enforcement, public relations and special events, such as parades, road races and funerals. 

Lieutenant Collinge, Officer Carpenter and Officer Deschamps are assigned to the motorcycle.
